Selection Process 2025

The selection process rewards teams and players for excellent play throughout the 2024-2025 school year, celebrates teams that exemplify TexSEF's core values (inclusion, connection, and play), and promotes a high level of competition while fostering connections between students and schools.

The state championship tournament will feature a mix of automatic qualifiers and at-large nominations.

The excitement is building, and the moment is getting closer! Texas’ biggest scholastic esports championship is right around the corner—and your team has a chance to claim the title of TexSEF Undisputed State Champion! The energy will be electric, the crowd will be ready, and the battle for glory will begin again. Will you rise to the challenge?

Check out the Hurd Center event spaces for a preview of where the competition will take place at Baylor University.

Hotels, Food, Logistic Information

For planning, the dining hall will be open,  The cost is $11/per person for all-you-can-eat.  Food trucks will be on site.  There is fast food right across from the venue.  You can bring food to your kids.  Here is the Hotel Room Block for Undisputed State Championship.  It will be a great 3 days. Thursday, May 1st is Pool Play, Friday, May 2nd is Bracket Play, and Saturday, May 3rd is Finals.


There will be a $25/student entry fee for non-member schools to compete. If you would like to become a member, it is not too late. You can complete your registration here.
